frequently asked questions
1. Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I am in-network with select insurance providers. Please reach out directly to confirm if your plan is accepted. If I am not in-network with your insurance, I can provide a detailed receipt (also called a “superbill”) that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
2. How long can I expect to be in treatment?
The length of therapy varies for each person and depends on your unique needs, goals, and progress. Some clients find that short-term therapy (about 3–6 months) is helpful for addressing specific concerns, while others benefit from longer-term support. Your commitment and willingness to engage in the process also play an important role in how therapy unfolds. Throughout our work together, we’ll regularly check in and collaborate to ensure therapy continues to meet your needs and feels supportive.
3. Do you have a physical location?
Seed & Psyche is a 100% virtual telehealth practice, which means you can access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a private area where you feel comfortable talking.
4. Do you prescribe medication?
No, I do not prescribe medication. However, if we decide together that medication may be a helpful part of your care, I can provide referrals to trusted providers who do prescribe.
5. Is everything discussed in therapy confidential?
Yes, therapy is confidential. However, there are certain situations required by law where confidentiality may need to be broken, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or in cases of abuse. I will always discuss these limits with you and answer any questions you have about confidentiality.
6. Do you offer reduced-fee or sliding scale sessions?
I value making therapy accessible and do offer a limited number of sliding scale sessions for individuals experiencing financial constraints. If this applies to you, please reach out, and we can discuss whether a sliding scale option might be available.
7. Who should I call if I have an emergency?
If you are experiencing an emergency or feel unsafe, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You can also call or text 988 to connect with the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline for immediate support.
